Absentee Voting

Any registered voter in Oklahoma may choose to vote by Absentee Ballot — no reason is required.

01. Make Sure You Are Registered

Before requesting your absentee ballot, ensure you are registered or get registered to vote.

02. Request an Absentee Ballot

Request online through the OK Voter Portal. You can also download and print an application form or contact your County Election Board to have an application mailed to any address. All Absentee Ballots must be requested from your County Election Board by 5:00 p.m. on the third Monday before an election.

03. Receive Your Ballot Packet By Mail

Your ballot packet will arrive by mail. You can verify whether or not your absentee ballot has been mailed using the OK Voter Portal. Your absentee ballot packet will include absentee ballots, as well as instructions for voting, preparing, and returning an absentee ballot.

04. Complete Your Ballot

Follow the insructions in your ballot packet. Fill out the ballot in blue or black ink and place them in the Ballots Envelope.

05. Get Your Ballot Notarized

Sign the affidavit and get your ballot notarized.

06. Return Your Absentee Ballot

You can return your absentee ballots to the County Election Board in person, by U.S. mail or by FedEx or UPS. You can verify whether your absentee ballot was received using the OK Voter Portal.
